Aleiza's Ascent is a player swap/overhaul mod that changes much of the game.
Focused primarily on endo and transformation, the new guest of honor, Aleiza, is a budding rat who stumbles into the mansion after a familiar storm separates her and her girlfriend Verina.
After a fateful encounter with a certain cat ghost, Aleiza begins her ascent up the never-ending mansion under a contract while searching for Verina all the while.

After a fateful encounter with a certain cat ghost, Aleiza begins her ascent up the never-ending mansion under a contract while searching for Verina all the while.
This mod overhauls many ghosts and is a mild difficulty mod, changing how ghosts behave, animations, adds many different things that can happen to the rat such as petrification into gold and transformation into a Fang-like shark, as well as adjusts ghost stats.
Thanks to a contract with Tsughos, ghosts will do less damage per hit, but in turn struggling is more difficult, overall increasing the damage received.
Ghosts like Fewmi, Zahra, Seraph, Tsughos and even Waboomi are changed to be quite different from their original selves.

On top of this, there will be exclusive ghosts residing in this iteration of the mansion, up to and including several regular ghosts, 3 minibosses and a boss that resides in the Dilapidated Halls.

An adventurous rodent girl, Aleiza is an aspiring student of magic gifted with the rare ability of mimicry and a dual elemental lineage of Wind and Ice magic thanks to her parents, as well as genetics that make her a tad... unstable, to say the least.
The mansion's strange powers have thrown her into chaos and she is very likely to transform based off of those she interacts with.
Unfortunately she cannot make good use of these changes.
Aleiza is a bit of a masochist, enjoying being bullied and restrained in some manner and has a desire to be a damsel in "distress", leaving her vulnerable to the ghosts' stomachs.
However, after a fateful encounter with Tsughos, she seems to have some degree of safety at the cost of even more bullying.
Not that she minds.

Aleiza's girlfriend, Verina is a sorceress attending a magic school with Aleiza and helps her out, taking special care for her on everything. Reading for her, buying her food, Verina coddles Aleiza immensely, worried about how foolish the Teiri is and is especially careful as Aleiza is curious about everything, including other girls, which is a constant exercise to work with.
A master elementalist, Verina has command of nearly all elemental magic except Light, as it opposes her natural affinity for Dark.
Verina was dragged away initially to separate her to make Aleiza easier prey, but something has gone amiss from the original plan and thus she now adventures through the mansion on her own, making some allies along the way... including stumbling into the dungeons and coming across a curious figure...

A doll resembling Aleiza's girlfriend, Verina.
Created by a certain Dweller plushie with the intent of replicating the goblin and leading Aleiza astray to get back at the former, she is a masterpiece of stitching and replication, much to the chagrin of her creators.
She was made too close to the original, retaining her kindness and eagerness to help, which deemed her 'defective' by the overlord, discarding her into the mansion as one of the many residents to wander eternally.
With a little bit of help she has quickly integrated herself into the spectral community and helps the two out whenever they can.

Be warned, she may be a bit possessive of Aleiza and is much tougher than Kaishi to escape from during training!
